We've been very busy lately out and about enjoying this beautiful season! Autumn is my favorite time of year. It's a nice drawn-out season here in Georgia. I want to be outside everyday right now. Here are pics from our visit to Cloudland Canyon in north Georgia this past weekend. It is so beautiful, especially with all the Fall colors! I won't be going back with children again, though! It's a deep canyon and potentially dangerous. I was holding on to Little E for dear life! I had a few moments of vertigo looking into the canyon. Ugh.
Yet, ANOTHER, reason to babywear! Don't let your toddler run around trails with steep drops!
It was interesting being in such a rural area, especially when it came time to eat! We've definitely been spoiled as vegetarians living in an urban area! We stopped at this little place near the park. The menu was completely void of nutritional value. Fries, burgers. I ordered a salad and some fries. The salad was iceburg lettuce, tomatoes and shredded cheese! I can't remember the last time I've seen such a thing!
Anyway, my point is that I'm very thankful that I live in a place and time where being a vegetarian and even a near-vegan is so EASY!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lord! I shall not take it for granted! It means a lot to me to be able to eat an animal-free diet. But I really don't feel deprived at all. Not in the least. (But I won't speak for Dad!)
And with Thanksgiving coming up I think that's a good thing to remember and be thankful for!
